Jennifer Freieze

Jennifer has over 40 years of experience working with horses. Jennifer works with horses using a spiritual and philosophical approach; regarding horses as partners and spiritual teachers. Growing up in Eastern Pennsylvania, she began riding hunter/jumpers and exploring trails whenever possible on horseback. Jennifer also worked as an apprentice for two years studying dressage, in the French tradition, at Durham Creek Farm. She has traveled the United States extensively, attended the University of New Mexico and graduated with a BA in medical sociology from Temple University. In addition, Jennifer attended the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and completed a course in Ayurvedic studies. She has been studying yoga and yogic philosophy for many years. Jennifer's compassionate nature led her to work in healthcare for many years as an EMT and nurse technician. Additionally, she has been employed on many farms and ranches throughout the United States. She began working in a therapeutic/hippotherapy facility in New Mexico, in which she worked as a horse handler/trainer, riding instructor and occupational therapy assistant. At all the facilities she worked closely with staff, leading and side-aiding in lessons. She currently operates a small farm in Gilbertsville where she lives with her horses, dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, rabbits, and turtles. She also loves growing lots of heirloom, native and medicinal plants.
